I Scream.... #aprilfailsday Early Impossible Project film, if developed too warm, could take on a red-orange hue. This shot of my lovely wife is an example. It also could develop this odd spotting that I think of as “measles”. The film has improved greatly since these days. Sometimes I think that’s a pity. BO #aprilfailsday Polaroid Fade to Black film was SX-70 TimeZero without the restrainer that stopped development. For the past 25 years, I’ve helped put out a magazine about shortwave radio. My friend Bill was the publisher.
One of my favorite local breweries, @kanebrewing, released this beer, a collaboration with @transmitterbrewing, tonight.
My friend Bill passed away last Tuesday at the age of 89. Every Saturday, he would hold what was jokingly referred to as a “Longwave Convention”, which consisted of himself and however many craft beers he felt like downing that evening.
Tonight, I hold my own Shortwave Convention in his honor, with the most appropriate beer possible. RIP, my friend.

Maxwell’s was the best nightclub in the world. I spent many, many nights there seeing my favorite bands play. And then it closed, and now its sign lives at the Dogfish Head brewpub in Rehoboth Beach. Which is also one of my favorite places in the world. Bittersweet, but if the sign is going to live anywhere other than Hoboken, this is a pretty good place for it. (Instagram doesn’t know about the new Brewing & Eats, so this is listed as the restaurant next door, also owned by Dogfish Head. In fairness, you can see Chesapeake & Maine through the window....)
