Breaking my boycott of Instagram to celebrate #polaroidweek (find me on glass.photo where I’ve been posting like crazy for the past couple of months).
My friend Vanessa makes tintypes, trading under the name @armadillotintype in Ocean Grove, New Jersey. About seven hours ago, we went to see her at Bell Works in Holmdel to get a tintype made of my wife (25 years ago, when this was still Bell Labs, my wife and I both worked in this amazing building). I brought my #polaroid 195 loaded with my next-to-last roll of Polaroid #sepia 1500 #film and shot this portrait of the artist with her tools.
