Another suburban scene caught on self-perforated Agfa Aviphot ASP 400 S 35mm film, placed in a #fakmatic adapter used in a @kodak #instamatic500 #film #filmphotography #allthroughalenspodcast #126film #instamatic

Did you know that Kodak used to pre-expose their 126 film with frame borders to make it easier for automated processors to work with the film? Yeah, me neither. Shot this in my modified #instamatic500, the one where I trimmed the pin so it wouldn’t get caught in the sprockets of the respooled 35mm film I’ve been shooting in it. The pin that ensures that the film is properly lined up with the pre-exposed frame lines. And now I have 12 shots on #verichromepan that expired in 1988 that have a nearly opaque white bar through them.... #film #filmphotography #126film #instamatic #shootme #wildwood #wildwoodnj #breakfastinthesky

Because the world can’t possibly have too many shots of the Flatiron Building. Another shot from the Kodak Instamatic 500 on @filmferrania P30 loaded into an old Ferrania Solaris 126 cartridge. Ferrania was the last company to produce 126 film. Maybe they can be the first to bring it back to life. #film #filmphotography #filmphotographic #126 #instamatic500 #instamatic #rodinal #filmisnotdead #itjustsmellsfunny

I have a Kodak Instamatic 500, one of the best cameras made for 126 film. Unfortunately, the last cartridge of 126 film was made about ten years ago. What to do? I have a couple of empty cartridges from Ferrania Solaris 200, which was the last film available in the format. 35mm is the same size as 126, although it has different perforations. So I loaded up my old Ferrania cartridge with some new @filmferrania P30 black and white film. It seemed like the most appropriate choice.
