Did you know that Kodak used to pre-expose their 126 film with frame borders to make it easier for automated processors to work with the film? Yeah, me neither. Shot this in my modified #instamatic500, the one where I trimmed the pin so it wouldn’t get caught in the sprockets of the respooled 35mm film I’ve been shooting in it. The pin that ensures that the film is properly lined up with the pre-exposed frame lines. And now I have 12 shots on #verichromepan that expired in 1988 that have a nearly opaque white bar through them.... #film #filmphotography #126film #instamatic #shootme #wildwood #wildwoodnj #breakfastinthesky

Another @arsimago #labbox fuckup. The first roll was Film Ferrania P30. Maybe there was something in the film that caused this? So this time I tried Tri-X. It’s about as common a film as you can find. And this one was worse. More than half the roll blown. EDIT: I think I may have figured out what causes this. When I disassembled the box to dry, I discovered that I had the reel put together wrong. Right side connected to the left side of the axel and vice-versa. I made sure the entry points were matched up, but looks like that wasn’t enough. So I’m going to try again in a couple of days, making sure the reel is correct

First roll through the @arsimago Lab Box. Most of it appears okay, but there are a few spots like this. Not sure what caused it, maybe film touching film? Can’t say I’ve seen this with my Patterson reels, but then I also can’t say I loaded my Patterson reels in broad daylight.

My friend @asdfwendyfdsa a month or two ago when she told me about the @icp moving sale. I picked up an enlarger easel and a Polaroid 8x10 processor. She helped my schlep my (rather heavy) purchases back to Penn Station, the mark of a true friend.
